Words And Women’s
first anthology of writing will be launched at our International Women’s Day
event on the 8th March at The Lounge, St Benedicts Street, Norwich,
between 4pm – 6pm.
Our wonderful
readers at this event will be the first prize winner of our prose competition
Dani Redd, along with Anni Domingo, Lily Meyer, Kim Sherwood, and Lois
Williams. All will be reading extracts from work included in the anthology.
Copies of the anthology will also be on sale.
Do come along and
support the event and listen to the talent we have in this region.
In
the meantime don’t forget that Words And Women will launch its first in a series
of Twitter interviews called #ask with women
writers living and working in the East of England tomorrow, Thursday 27th February, and our first guest will be
writer and actress Anni Domingo.
Anni will be on Twitter answering questions on her
work between 7.30 p.m. – 8.00 p.m.. If you have anything you’d like to ask Anni
then please use hashtag #askanni and address any questions you have to
@wordsandwomen. Follow the interview live at https://twitter.com/wordsandwomen
Finally Margaret Atwood, currently UEA’s 3rd
UNESCO Visiting Professor for Creative Writing, will be talking about her work at the
University of East Anglia this
evening. For those of you who haven’t been lucky enough to get a ticket for the
event then why not click here to read this wonderful piece On Being A ‘Woman
Writer’ by Margaret Atwood which first appeared in ‘Women In The Canadian
Mosaic’ in 1976.
